One thing that I truly enjoy about the PNW, there’s always an apartment available with a beautiful view. I’ve lived in 10 different areas ranging from Downtown Seattle, Bellevue and finally Kirkland. No matter if it’s the Space Needle front and center, or a beautiful Lake Washington view – there’s no other place like the Puget Sound. The only thing that would always put a damper on my mood, is that dreaded Laundry Day. I hated that day, like I hated that call at the 1 yard line during Superbowl 49 (yeah… it’s that bad).
Nothing brought down my mood more than hearing a pocket full of quarters rolling around in my pocket, down 2 flights of stairs, just to find that all machines were being used. Then the added bonus of staying behind to monitor your clothes, or risk finding them soaking wet in a corner while someone is using up all the dryers. All while burning up 2-4 hours per laundry day, and that’s not even counting the sorting and folding! Unacceptable!
In this day and age you can skip the restaurant and have food delivered to you! Skip the barbershop, carwash and even gas station… with a click of a button, you can have all of these brought to your home. I saw that all of these saved all of us precious minutes that we don’t have. But yet, here we are still spending HOURS on something that should take a few clicks.
Through a bit of frustration and not finding any service to accommodate my household’s needs, I decided I would start a house call laundry service. That’s when I decided to launch - Laundry Out! Very easy to use, easy to schedule.
We see that no matter how fancy the washer is, or how efficient the dryer may be… the time consumption for our laundry is simply far too great. It’s time we move laundry into the digital age.
